I think we can all agree that we are living in unprecedented times. This is a short summary to advise on how to access eyecare during the lockdown period:
Like a lot of GP practices, we are operating a closed door policy. However we are still available by phone during the following hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.00am-2.00pm
We should be able to supply any repairs or replacement to your glasses. This is particularly important for any key workers or children whose eyesight can be affected by not wearing their correction.
Contact lens supply should carry on as normal. For contact lens solutions these can collected, delivered or posted as required.
We are one of the dedicated Emergency Eyecare Treatment Centres, so, if you have any redness pain loss of vision or sudden flashes and floaters, then please get in touch.
Also, as an Independent prescriber we can send a prescription to your pharmacy to allow treatment outside of a hospital setting.
I hope this clarifies the situation at present.
The main message is still: Stay home, Stay safe.
We look forward to providing a normal level of eyecare once this has passed
