Glasses/Lenses

Independent Optometrist

Endless choice for all tastes, needs & budgets

Choosing the right glasses or contact lenses is very much a matter for the individual. At Jarvis Optometrist our primary concern is your eye health and therefore we will always guide you on the choices that are right for you. For example, there are contact lenses to suit almost every individual, but selecting the right lenses depends on a combination of lifestyle, physical characteristics as well as affordability. In all cases we will give you the most appropriate advice to suit you personally.

Choosing new glasses or contact lenses ideally starts with a visit to the optometrist to receive an up to date prescription and check on your general eye health. If you choose to order new glasses you will likely be looked after by our Optical Assistant Joanne Mill. She has been trained to help you with frame styling and choice of lens type.

Frames

At Jarvis Optometrist we have a range of over 700 different frame styles from budget to designer, brands such as Guess & William Morris. All created to suit your pocket and taste.

Sunglasses

Damage to your eyes from bright sunlight can lead to serious eye health issues in later life. If you require spectacles, why not also have sunglasses made to your individual prescription?

Spare glasses

What if you lose or damage your glasses? Is that spare pair in the drawer still up to the job? Also, if you wear contact lenses having a pair of glasses as a back-up is highly recommended.

Contact Lenses

In the early days of contact lenses the choices and suitability for patients was very limited. Today, lens technology is so advanced that almost anyone can be fitted with contact lenses.
